If you don’t feel like mixing your weed with a group activity (though we have some great fitness classes to recommend), pop in your earbuds and listen to this playlist on the treadmill or the trail. Skip inhaling and ingest your cannabis instead, through many options ranging from powders to mix into your smoothie to nutritional edibles that pack a protein and cannabis punch.

Let the opening lyric “I fly like paper, get high like planes” be your guide as you launch into your exercise routine.
“Pass That Dutch” by Missy Elliot
Of course one of the most innovative rappers of all time would be cannabis-friendly. This catchy number features rhythmic clapping that makes you feel like you’re being cheered on during your workout. Plus, the lyrics “Pop that, pop that, jiggle that fat (ahh!) / Don’t stop, get it till ya clothes get wet” is a good reminder not to stop until you break a sweat.
“Broccoli” DRAM feat. Lil Yachty
One of the most fun songs about weed to come along in a while, with piano that will put a pep in your step. This song is a good reminder to eat and smoke your greens.
“Ganja Burn” by Nicki Minaj
A slower burn from Minaj than some of her more upbeat bangers, this one’s good for a light jog or hot yoga. Feel the burn in more ways than one.
“I Got Five on it” by Luniz
This nineties jam will get you through the final stretch. Take inspiration from it and share your workout and your weed with a friend.
“James Joint” by Rihanna
Listen to this while you cool down. It’s a slow burn you can stretch to, but if you want to use this time to light a joint, Rihanna wouldn’t judge. After all, she opens the song proclaiming, “I’d rather be smoking weed.”

Make a masterpiece
This playlist goes all in on odes to the creativity-enhancing wonder plant. Think of how many books, paintings, and, not to forget, songs have been created while the artist enjoyed a puff or two. Cannabis is made for mind expansion, so light up a joint, preferably a Purple Haze or Chemdawg strain, and let the creative juices flow.
“Sweet Leaf” by Black Sabbath
Take advice from the grandfathers of heavy metal, “Come on now, try it out.” If you’ve ever needed some introspection, consider Black Sabbath’s canna claim, “You introduced me to my mind.”
“Get High” by Brandy Clark
This is a perfect example of song as storytelling. Hopefully it will inspire you to tell a story–with words, paint, dance, etc.–that rings with as much authenticity and poignancy.
“White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane
Before they went eighties pop, these classic rockers’ knew what they were looking for down the rabbit hole, particularly something to “feed your head.” This is hands down the most playful take on cannabis in music. Let’s be honest, Lewis Carroll probably enjoyed a toke himself when dreaming up the world beyond the looking glass. Now, so can you.

“Purple Haze” by Jimi Hendrix
If you’re going to smoke the strain, listen to the song. Perhaps Hendrix’s dream-inspired lyrics will paint a picture in your head worthy of being immortalized in art.

Every artist needs a reminder now and again that it’s good to be an individual. It also doesn’t hurt to hear a musician give you permission to “roll up the joint” when life gets too dull.

Willie Nelson has plenty of diddies about his favorite past time, but this one serves as his opus, the song to sing at his funeral whenever the great one is laid to rest. Cannabis is more fun when you share it with someone you love. Share a joint while taking a romantic stroll or consider bringing cannabis into the bedroom. There are a lot of cannabis-infused lube options out there for you and your partner to enjoy together.

When it’s raining outside and you want to feel good, reach for your “kaya” and touch the sky. A rainy day is the perfect excuse to stay in bed with your boo.
